YEREVAN — A delegation led by Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan on September 30.

The delegation included several members of the Fresno City Council, as well as Armenia’s Honorary Consul in Fresno, Berj Apkarian.

The guests were welcomed and accompanied during their visit by Hrachya Tashchyan, acting director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

The U.S. delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The guests then toured the Armenian Genocide Museum and viewed its permanent and temporary exhibitions.

At the conclusion of the tour, Mayor Dyer signed the museum’s Book of Honored Guests.

Thanking the delegation for its visit, Tashchyan presented Mayor Dyer with an illustrated publication of the Armenian Genocide Museum.
