YEREVAN – The Government of Armenia has approved a decision regarding the appointment of a Defense Attaché to Armenia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

According to the Government’s press release, this appointment will establish a Defense Attaché at the UN, responsible for coordinating and managing military and defense policy cooperation with the international organization. The attaché will work to strengthen bilateral collaboration, facilitate defense-related interactions, and provide recommendations for the prospective development of cooperation.

The presence of a Defense Attaché at the UN will create opportunities for more effective engagement, contributing to the institutional strengthening and expansion of military and defense policy cooperation, as stated in the announcement.
