Aramayis Avetisyan Elected Executive Director of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund

YEREVAN — The Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has elected Aramayis Avetisyan as the Fund’s new executive director, with 22 votes in favor, none opposed, and two abstentions.

Twenty-four of the Board’s 29 members participated in the meeting. Avetisyan assumes his duties as executive director effective August 24, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Fund, Avetisyan outlined his vision for the organization before the Board, highlighting several key priorities for its future development. These include strengthening organizational capacity and operational efficiency, fostering a new culture of trust, accountability and transparency, and shifting from a primarily responsive approach toward long-term strategic planning. Strengthening ties between Armenia and the Diaspora will remain a central part of the Fund’s mission.

Avetisyan is an economist and management specialist with approximately 13 years of professional experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. His background includes organizational management and institutional development, strategic planning, public policy, stakeholder engagement, fundraising and communications. Since 2022, he has served as an assistant to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Avetisyan received his higher education at the Armenian State University of Economics, specializing in international economic relations. In the private sector, he worked at VEON Armenia, Tavush Textile and Akanat. In 2018, he co-founded the Political Dialogue NGO and served as its executive director until 2022.

He is married and completed his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

Avetisyan has been involved in programs of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund since 2025. He coordinated the Fund’s 2025 “Homeland and Eternity” pan-Armenian fundraising campaign, which raised approximately $17 million — about 30 percent above the average amount raised in recent years.

The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund was established in 1992 to unite the potential and resources of Armenia and the Diaspora in support of Armenia’s development and strengthening. For more than three decades, the Fund has implemented infrastructure, education, healthcare, social and other development programs, serving as a pan-Armenian platform for Armenia-Diaspora cooperation.

The Fund has also mobilized resources from Armenians worldwide to respond to humanitarian crises and other urgent challenges.
