MOSCOW — RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan has proposed checking the social media accounts of all Armenian citizens entering Russia and identifying those who voted for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Armenia’s June 7 parliamentary elections.
She said Armenian citizens who voted for Pashinyan should be banned from entering Russia.
“I propose identifying them through social media. It is very easy to do that now. Border guards can easily do it at the border — both here and in Georgia. Try going to Georgia: if you have something there about Abkhazia or Ossetia, they will not let you in, right?
“Identify through social media those Armenians who support Pashinyan, and that is it — entry into the Russian Federation should be banned forever. Because if you support Pashinyan, then you support Russophobia. If you support Russophobia, then you hate Russia,” Simonyan said.
