The Anti-Corruption Committee has arrested Artur Avanesyan, head of security for Samvel Karapetyan’s “Strong Armenia” party and a participant in the Artsakh wars, who is also known by the nickname “Kandaz.” Authorities have not disclosed further details.

The information was also confirmed by Narek Karapetyan, who heads the electoral list of the “Strong Armenia” alliance, though he did not specify the grounds for the arrest.

Earlier today, law enforcement agencies reported another criminal case related to “Strong Armenia.” Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against four individuals accused of financially incentivizing a group of people to participate in a rally organized by the alliance.

One of the four individuals has been placed under house arrest and banned from leaving their residence. Two others have been subjected to administrative supervision and travel restrictions, while a minor has been placed under educational supervision.
