BRUSSELS — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Vice President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas in Brussels.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the consistent implementation of the strategic agenda of Armenia–EU partnership.
A detailed discussion was held on the substantive preparations for the upcoming Armenia–EU summit to be held in Yerevan in May. The sides emphasized their agreement on implementing programs aimed at delivering tangible results for the citizens of Armenia.
Mirzoyan and Kallas also discussed initiatives aimed at the continued strengthening of democratic resilience, which forms an important part of the Armenia–EU values-based partnership and strategic agenda. In this context, an agreement was reached on ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of existing concrete mechanisms designed to support democratic processes.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the EU High Representative also underscored the importance of launching mutually beneficial projects to promote economic and transportation connectivity, as well as cooperation in the energy sector.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
