YEREVAN — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that his government has fulfilled the leadership mandate entrusted to it by the people from 2018 to 2024, guiding the country away from a predetermined disastrous path.

Pashinyan made the remarks during a livestream on his Facebook page.

“I have become convinced that leadership is, first and foremost, about changing predetermined events—about breaking away from a predetermined path and having the strength, will, and determination to do so,” he said.

He emphasized that his administration had demonstrated this leadership throughout the years 2018–2024.

“I mean that in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, we fulfilled the leadership responsibilities delegated to us by our people. We stood firm and led our country away from a predetermined disastrous path, including through the decisive choice not to continue the Karabakh movement, and brought our country to a peaceful stage,” Pashinyan stated.

According to the prime minister, the moment is now approaching for the public to respond.

He noted that the people must take ownership of peace, and that the leadership exercised thus far should be followed by leadership from the people themselves.

Pashinyan added that the public should re-entrust leadership to the same political team and governing majority that, at a critical moment, assumed responsibility, acted outside predetermined logic, and successfully guided the country toward stability and peace.
