WASHINGTON, DC — On January 9, a ceremonial presentation was held at the Museum of the Bible, attended by Ambassador Narek Mkrtchyan, marking the official handover of a Bible donated to the museum by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Mkrtchyan and the museum’s President, Carlos Campón, signed the relevant documentation confirming the donation. In accordance with the agreement, the Bible gifted by the Prime Minister will be assigned a dedicated place within the museum’s collection and is scheduled to go on public display in 2026.
The formal handover ceremony was also attended by the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Western Diocese of the United States, Hovnan Archbishop Derderian, and the Chair of the Diocesan Council, Derek Ghukasian.
Invited guests included representatives from academic circles and various Christian organizations, as well as leaders from interfaith initiatives, including Save Armenia Judeo-Christian Alliance Executive Director and President Paul Murrey.
