PARIS — On February 13, the Paris City Council unanimously adopted a resolution addressing the “alarming situation of former Nagorno-Karabakh leaders detained in Azerbaijan.”
In its resolution, the council condemned the illegal detention and sham trials of the former leaders, citing the circumstances of their arrest, their conditions of imprisonment in Azerbaijan, and the politically motivated charges brought against them. The Paris City Council called for their immediate release.
The resolution was introduced for a vote by Deputy Mayor Arnaud Ngatcha. The session was held at the invitation of the Mayor of Paris, which was attended by Armenia’s Ambassador Arman Khatchatryan.
