An Appeal to Readers of Massis Weekly and Massispost

As International Press Freedom Day was celebrated this past Sunday, it demonstrated the importance of freedom of the press and it’s crucial role in society.

This year, more than ever, the press is facing one of its most dire ordeals. The spread of COVID-19 is putting media outlets under insurmountable challenges to continue its role of serving the public due to a lack of financial resources.

Major American newspapers are turning to online subscription models to continue to inform the public of news and current events.

The Armenian press and media in the Diaspora are facing the same difficulties and are asking for contributions from readers in order to continue serving our communities throughout the world.

Massis Weekly and MassisPost staff are utilizing all our resources to continue to provide our readers and followers with information about current events in Armenia and the Diaspora.

Unfortunately, Armenian media outlets do not have the luxury of utilizing online subscription models, that’s why we are asking our readers for a nominal $1.00 monthly contribution which will help keep our print and online editions alive so that we can continue our mission of serving our readers with quality journalism and up-to-date news items.

Please join us today by contributing $1.00 a month, which will be charged to your credit or debit card on a recurring monthly basis.

Your small contribution will help our print and online publications to continue serving our communities as we have done since our inception in 1980.
