LUXEMBOURG — The European Union has assisted Armenia in countering foreign interference ahead of the country’s upcoming June elections, according to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
Kallas made the statement in Luxembourg following a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
“We have expanded our training programs to combat disinformation to cover 65 countries. We have blocked dozens of websites and hundreds of advertisements and have also successfully assisted Armenia in resisting foreign interference ahead of the June elections,” Kallas said.
Her remarks highlighted the EU’s broader efforts to combat disinformation and strengthen countries’ resilience against foreign interference in democratic processes.
