ANKARA — Ensuring lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus is one of Ankara’s foreign policy priorities, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s 2026 activity program.
The document states that the normalization process with Armenia will continue in close consultation and coordination with Azerbaijan. Turkey will also continue supporting the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry noted that its support for Azerbaijan would remain strong, with the aim of contributing to the resolution of conflicts in the South Caucasus and promoting peace and stability throughout the region.
The document emphasizes that the Turkish-Armenian and Azerbaijani-Armenian processes should advance in coordination to ensure long-term stability, prosperity and security in the region.
