BEIRUT — An official ceremony marking the delivery of humanitarian assistance provided to Lebanon by the Armenian government was held at the Port of Beirut on July 9.
The ceremony was attended by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan; General Bassam Nabulsi, secretary-general of Lebanon’s Higher Relief Committee; members of the Lebanese Parliament; and representatives of other relevant Lebanese government agencies.
In his remarks, Kostanyan reaffirmed Armenia’s solidarity with friendly Lebanon and the Lebanese people. He emphasized that the humanitarian assistance was another demonstration of the historical friendship, mutual trust, and solidarity uniting the two nations.
He also noted that Armenia remains prepared to continue contributing to initiatives aimed at addressing humanitarian challenges in Lebanon.
General Nabulsi expressed gratitude to the Armenian government for its support and solidarity during this difficult period for Lebanon. He emphasized that Armenia’s assistance is deeply appreciated by both the Lebanese government and the Lebanese people.
