YEREVAN — Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Edvard Asryan has stated that cooperation between Yerevan and Beijing continues to expand actively following the elevation of Armenia–China relations to the level of a strategic partnership in 2025.
Strategic partnership: Relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level, with political dialogue and cooperation in the security sector continuing to strengthen.
Military cooperation: Contacts between the Armenian and Chinese defense ministries are expanding through working-level meetings and the development of practical cooperation.
Military education: The number of Armenian service members studying at Chinese military educational institutions is increasing, while joint educational programs are also being implemented.
Exchange of expertise: Cooperation is developing in the fields of military science, personnel training and the exchange of professional experience.
Asryan also congratulated the Chinese side on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, wishing the People’s Republic of China peace, prosperity and continued success.
