YEREVAN — President of Greece Konstantinos Tasoulas, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, accompanied by Greece’s Ambassador to Armenia Christos Sofianopoulos.
The delegation was received and guided by Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hrachya Tashchyan, who presented the history, symbolism, and significance of the memorial. He also spoke about the memorial’s architectural meaning, noting that it symbolizes the rebirth of the Armenian people.
President Tasoulas laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Members of the delegation then placed flowers at the eternal flame and observed a minute of silence in honor of the victims.
