WASHINGTON, DC — According to the latest data from the The Heritage Foundation’s Index of Economic Freedom, Armenia ranks 52nd among 176 countries worldwide. The figures were presented by Armenia’s Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan.
Based on this ranking, Armenia surpasses several European Union member states, including Spain (53rd), Romania (58th), France (65th), Italy (73rd), Greece (75th), and Hungary (79th).
“The leading countries in this index are Singapore, Switzerland, and Ireland. According to 2025 data, Armenia was ranked 57th with a score of 65.4, meaning we have improved our position by five places,” the minister stated.
