SDHP Executive Committee Visits Armenian Consul General, Dr. Karen Israyelyan

GLENDALE – On December 4, a delegation from the newly elected executive committee of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) – Western United States, led by Chairman Mehran Khatchadorian, paid a courtesy visit to the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Dr. Karen Israyelyan.

During the meeting, Mr. Khatchadorian expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and highlighted the longstanding cooperation between the Hunchakian Party and the Armenian state. He emphasized the importance of this historic relationship in addressing challenges and advancing shared goals.

Consul General Israyelyan commended the SDHP for its principled stance and unwavering dedication to the Armenian state, noting that this commitment is deeply valued and reciprocated by the Armenian government.

Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering collaboration by addressing pressing issues, such as strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties, protecting national interests, and ensuring the cohesion of the global Armenian community. Their discussions underscored a mutual resolve to build on their historic partnership, guided by a vision of progress and solidarity for the benefit of Armenia and Armenians worldwide.

Mr. Khatchadorian also acknowledged that while the Hunchakian Party has occasionally disagreed with certain Armenian administrations, it has consistently upheld respect for Armenia’s embassies and consulates, recognizing them as representatives of the Armenian state rather than specific governments.

During the meeting, Consul General Israyelyan provided updates on new regulations aimed at enhancing the efficiency of consular operations and improving relations with citizens.

The meeting was also attended by Consular Officers Nazeli Hambardzumyan and Karen Hovhannisyan.
