“Lady Cox Rehabilitation Center” Relocated to Yerevan

YEREVAN — Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the UK House of Lords, who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the opening ceremony of the “Lady Cox Rehabilitation Center” relocated to Yerevan.

Welcoming the guest, Paruyr Hovhannisyan expressed gratitude to the Baroness for her long-standing friendship and support for Armenia and the Armenian people. In turn, the Baroness highly appreciated the comprehensive steps being taken by the Armenian government to address the needs of the Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The parties discussed in detail the possibilities of joint efforts in the humanitarian sphere and touched upon the issues of the Armenian-British agenda.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed Baroness Cox on the latest developments in the regional, Armenia-EU partnership agenda, as well as the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Lady Cox Rehabilitation Center, originally established in Stepanakert, Artsakh capital served the community for 25 year, providing essential support, particularly to Armenians affected by war, and highlighted its commitment to delivering ongoing rehabilitation services to the most vulnerable.
