SDHP Central Committee Announcement

Over the past five days, the continued aggression of the Azerbaijani forces toward the direction of Armenia’s Tavush region and the bombing of peaceful villages in the region once again prove that the dictatorial regime of Azerbaijan will not give up on its reprehensible intent to seek military resolution of the Artzakh conflict, thus continuing to be the main obstacle toward a peaceful settlement. We also condemn Turkey’s blatantly unilateral stance in the current situation, which can only contribute to the further destabilization of the region.

.Recent events have reaffirmed the fact that the brave and capable Armenian army is not only ready to defend the country’s borders, but improve its combat positions with precise actions. We hope that the Azerbaijani regime that had the false illusions of military supremacy and for many years made belligerent declarations and threats of war against Armenia and Artzakh, draws the right conclusions in the light of the latest developments and returns to the negotiating table.

These days, more than ever, we value the importance of unity and cohesiveness in our quest to confront not only the visible but also the invisible enemy that continues to pose the greatest threat to the well-being and future of our homeland. Consequently, we once again urge our compatriots living in Armenia and Artsakh, to follow the guidelines in the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic, with the “mighty front line, mighty rear” principle in mind.

Long live the Armenian army!

Salute to the fallen soldiers!
