Social Democrat Hunchakian Party 20th World Congress Commences in Yerevan

YEREVAN – September 10, 2013, the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) commenced the opening ceremony of its 20th world congress at Tigran the Great Hall of Armenia-Marriott Hotel with delegates from 17 countries around the world.

Among the attendees were RA Minister of Diaspora, Hranush Hakobyan, RA Minister of Sports and Youth, Yuri Vardanyan, Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, Ruben Mirzakhanyan, Chairman of the SDHP Setrak Ajemian, SDHP Central Committee members, including Lebanese MP Sebouh Kalpakian and former Lebanese MP Yeghia Jerejian, and representatives of various Armenian political parties and others.

The congress will continue in closed door meetings and will address a number of issues of national and political importance to the party.
