Preliminary Results of Parliamentary Elections in Armenia (UPDATED 11.00am Yerevan Time)

YEREVAN — Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) counted 98 percent of votes (1914 of 1,982 electoral precincts) as of 11.00 a.m. Yerevan time. The results are as follows:
Republican Party of Armenia 44.07% (635,821)
Prosperous Armenia Party 30.29% (436,980)
Armenian National Congress 7.08% (102,157)
Heritage 5.77% (83,249)
ARF Dashnaktsutyun 5.69% (82,045)
Orinats Yerkir 5.47% (78,926)

Communist Party of Armenia 1.06% (15,337)
Democratic Party of Armenia 0.37% (5,314)
United Armenians Party 0.21% (2,958)

Eight political parties and one bloc participated in the parliament elections in Armenia: Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, Armenian National Congress, Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party. For entering a 131-seat National Assembly (Parliament), parties must poll over 5% of votes, while blocs – over 7%.
