Armenian American Museum Hosts Major Donor Appreciation Reception

GLENDALE – The Armenian American Museum and Cultural Center of California hosted an appreciation reception for major donors and supporters at Vertigo Event Venue in Glendale, CA, honoring their generosity and dedication to advancing the landmark cultural institution. The evening brought together members of the museum’s community for an evening of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to its mission.

Executive Chairman Berdj Karapetian opened the reception with welcoming remarks, expressing his appreciation to the attendees for their continued commitment to building a world class cultural center and delivered a presentation highlighting the construction journey since the iconic Groundbreaking Ceremony in 2021. The presentation showcased key milestones achieved along the way and shared a vision for the road ahead, offering guests an opportunity to reflect on the progress made through the collective efforts and to look toward the institution’s future as it advances toward completion.

“We have reached this point because of the unwavering commitment of individuals who believe in the importance of preserving our history and sharing our story with future generations,” stated Berdj Karapetian. “As we move closer to opening our doors, the continued support of our community will be essential to completing this vision. Together, we are building an institution that will stand as a source of knowledge, pride, and connection.”

Archbishop Hovnan Derderian representing the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America emphasized the museum’s enduring significance as a place of cultural preservation and community unity.

“The Armenian American Museum represents our shared responsibility to preserve the legacy of our ancestors while inspiring the generations who will follow us,” said Archbishop Derderian. “This gathering is an opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to those who have embraced this mission and helped bring it closer to reality. May we continue forward with faith, unity, and a shared commitment to creating a lasting home for the Armenian American story.”

As the museum moves closer to completion, continued community engagement and support will be essential to advancing the project and preparing for the opening of its doors. The reception underscored the meaningful role donors and supporters play in bringing this vision to life and establishing an institution that will serve the community for generations to come. Support for the landmark center represents a lasting investment in preserving Armenian American history, fostering cultural understanding, and enriching the broader community.

The Armenian American Museum and Cultural Center of California is a world-class educational and cultural institution currently under construction in the heart of Glendale’s Arts and Entertainment District. The museum will feature Core and Temporary Exhibitions, Auditorium, Learning Center, Demonstration Kitchen, Archives Center, and more. Its mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of America’s ethnic and cultural diversity by sharing the Armenian American experience.
