World Challenge Cup: Hamlet Manukyan Wins Gold, Artur Avetisyan Takes Silver in Paris

PARIS — Armenian gymnasts concluded the prestigious World Challenge Cup in Paris with an impressive showing, securing one gold and one silver medal.

European champion Hamlet Manukyan delivered a dominant performance in the pommel horse final. The Armenian gymnast produced a flawless routine, earning 15.200 points to claim the gold medal and the tournament title. His closest rival, Italy’s Targhetta, scored 15.000 points to finish second and take silver.

In the still rings competition, newly crowned European champion and World Cup winner Artur Avetisyan added another medal to Armenia’s tally. Avetisyan demonstrated outstanding skill in the final, earning 14.533 points to finish second and claim the silver medal.

The gold medal in the rings went to Zaika, representing Russia, who narrowly edged Avetisyan with a score of 14.566 points.

Armenia was also represented in Paris by Gagik Khachikyan, who competed in the pommel horse event. However, based on his performance in the qualification round, Khachikyan did not advance to the final.
