SDHP 23rd Convention Delegates Visit Yerablur Military Pantheon

YEREVAN — On September 23, ahead of the opening of the 23rd Convention of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP), delegates who had arrived in Armenia from various countries visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the Armenians who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland.

A wreath was laid at the memorial on behalf of the delegation, after which SDHP Central Committee Chairman Hambik Sarafian delivered remarks.

Sarafian emphasized that Yerablur is not only a place of remembrance and reverence, but also a sacred place of responsibility and commitment. He noted that the memory of those who gave their lives for the homeland obliges everyone to place the interests of the homeland and the Armenian people above all other considerations.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegates renewed their pledge to serve the homeland and the Armenian people by singing “Ukhti Yerg” (“Song of the Oath”).
