YEREVAN — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Aryeh Lightstone, senior adviser to the U.S. special envoy for peace missions.
Konstantin Sokolov, president of the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Fund, also attended the meeting.
The parties highlighted the significant developments and achievements recorded since the Washington peace summit of August 8, 2025. Emphasizing the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan for fully realizing the region’s development potential, they also discussed possible steps to further strengthen the peace.
The officials welcomed the recent increase in high-level reciprocal visits and agreements, as well as the tangible progress made in developing the Armenia-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They noted that these achievements were also the result of the implementation of three memoranda signed in Washington on August 8, one year earlier.
Among several initiatives, the participants highlighted the rapidly developing cooperation in artificial intelligence and the planned launch of a data center—described as an “AI factory”—being constructed during the first phase of a major project by Firebird AI.
Mirzoyan and Lightstone also discussed opportunities and programs for expanding trade and economic cooperation and strengthening Armenia’s economic and energy resilience.
The meeting included a detailed discussion of regional connectivity and ways to capitalize on Armenia’s competitive advantages. The parties reviewed ongoing efforts to implement the TRIPP project and emphasized their shared interest in carrying it out on the ground as quickly as possible.
They also exchanged views on prospects for integrating Armenia more effectively into international transportation and infrastructure networks.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
