LISBON — The Diasporan Perspectives think tank has launched an open call for proposal: The Armenian Diaspora in the 21st Century.
Diasporan Perspectives (DP) has launched a call for research proposals. Founded in 2025 by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, DP commissions, publishes and disseminates original social science research on Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora, while serving as a platform for dialogue among scholars, policymakers and community leaders. Through a distinctive diasporan lens, DP seeks to advance innovative, globally engaged and Armenian-focused research and strategic thinking.
This ambitious call for proposals will lead to the publication of an original anthology on the contemporary Armenian diaspora. Building on several decades of existing scholarship, the initiative seeks to assess the current state of research, foster new knowledge and amplify diverse voices across disciplinary and theoretical perspectives. The overarching question the initiative is seeking to answer is: where is the Armenian Diaspora heading in the 21st century? Consult the full call for proposals.
