PARIS — As part of the Eurosatory 2026 international defense technology exhibition, French Minister Delegate for the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Alice Rufo visited Armenia’s unified pavilion. Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, announced the visit on his social media page.
Minister Delegate Rufo was introduced to the products presented by Armenian defense industry companies, as well as Armenia’s manufacturing and research potential.
During the exhibition, the delegation led by Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan also met with Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space. Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, Arman Khachatryan, also attended the meeting.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding Armenia-EU cooperation in the fields of defense industry, innovation, space security and Earth observation.
They also discussed opportunities for cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space, known as DG DEFIS, as well as the possibility of implementing joint initiatives in the high-tech and defense sectors.
