Ararat Home Annual Membership Meeting

MISSION HILLS — Ararat Home welcomed Trustees and Members to its Annual Membership Meeting on April 26, 2026, where attendees received comprehensive reports on the organization’s accomplishments over the past year, its current state, and strategic priorities for the year ahead.

Board Chair Joseph Kanimian, Esq., and CEO Derik Ghookasian presented reports highlighting Ararat Home’s continued commitment to providing exceptional care and services to its residents while advancing the organization’s mission across its various facilities and projects. Facility administrators shared updates on operations, resident care, and key initiatives, while the Director of the Ararat-Eskijian Museum and Research Center reported on the Museum’s ongoing efforts to preserve and promote Armenian history, culture, and heritage.

The meeting also featured presentations from the leaders of Ararat Home’s supporting organizations, who reviewed their activities and fundraising efforts throughout the past year. Their reports reflected the dedication of hundreds of volunteers and supporters whose contributions continue to enhance the quality of life for residents and strengthen the organization’s work.

Members were provided with an overview of anticipated opportunities and challenges facing the organization in the coming year, including the evolving healthcare landscape, regulatory requirements, and the ongoing need to garner support that helps sustain and expand the Home’s mission.

At its organizational meeting held the following month, the Board of Trustees elected its Executive Committee for the coming term. Joseph Kanimian, Esq., was re-elected as Chair. The other Executive Committee positions were filled by Mr. Ron Nazeley as First Vice Chair, Mr. Sinan Sinanian as Second Vice Chair, Mrs. Debbie Avedian as Secretary, Dr. Aram Youssoufian as Treasurer, Mr. Rafi Mardirosian as Assistant Secretary, and Mr. Peter Darakjian as Assistant Treasurer.
