Baku Says Border Delimitation Work with Armenia Continues

BAKU — Delimitation work along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is continuing, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

According to Azerbaijani media outlet APA, Bayramov stated that during Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan’s recent visit, the sides signed three documents outlining procedures for future border delimitation work.

Earlier, Grigoryan had also announced that draft agreements on three documents had been finalized during the latest meeting of the border delimitation commissions.

The Armenian and Azerbaijani delimitation commissions, chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev, last met on April 29.

During the meeting, the sides discussed organizational and technical issues related to the delimitation process and exchanged previously agreed-upon guidelines. One of the documents defines the working procedures for expert groups involved in the delimitation process, while the other two regulate map creation and the drafting and publication of delimitation documents.
