YEREVAN — Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has departed for the United States on a working visit.
According to the Government’s Information and Public Relations Department, the Prime Minister will participate in the inaugural session of the “Peace Council” in Washington on February 19.
Last month, the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan accepted the proposal to join the initiative and attended the official signing ceremony of its charter on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Initially, it was announced that the initiative would oversee the reconstruction of Gaza. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has since assigned broader responsibilities to the Council, stating that it should address global conflicts.
