ISTANBUL — Turkish Airlines will begin operating regular flights from Istanbul to Yerevan starting in 2026. The announcement was made on X by Serdar Kılıç, Turkey’s special representative for the normalization of relations with Armenia. He noted that this step represents further progress toward normalizing Armenian–Turkish relations.
“Turkish Airlines will begin daily scheduled flights on the Istanbul–Yerevan–Istanbul route starting March 11, 2026,” Kılıç wrote.
Turkish Airlines had previously announced plans to operate flights to Armenia’s capital. Following that announcement, Sargis Khandanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia, confirmed the information but noted at the time that no specific start date for flights to Armenia had been set.
