WASHNGTON, DC — Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, held a meeting with Donald Trump at the White House.
The meeting took place during a reception organized for newly appointed ambassadors. During the conversation, Ambassador Mkrtchyan expressed his gratitude to President Trump for his consistent efforts toward establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as for the historic agreement reached and the documents signed at the White House on August 8.
In response, President Trump congratulated the Armenian people, emphasizing that they deserve lasting and stable peace, and reaffirmed his unconditional support for the peace process.
President Trump also specifically highlighted the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan, underscoring the Prime Minister’s significant role in advancing the established peace process.
Additionally, President Trump conveyed a personally inscribed gift to Prime Minister Pashinyan as a mark of high appreciation.
