Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Brazil Hold Detailed Discussions on Expanding Bilateral Agenda

BRAZILIA — As part of his official visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan held a private meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, followed by an extended meeting with the participation of both countries’ delegations.

During their discussions, Ministers Mirzoyan and Vieira explored in detail all issues and initiatives aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda, deepening political dialogue, and developing cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

The ministers exchanged views on opportunities to broaden cooperation in sectors such as the economy, trade, education, innovation, high technologies, and energy. Both sides emphasized their strong willingness to undertake additional joint efforts to encourage investment and strengthen business ties. Next steps were outlined to be implemented with the involvement of the relevant ministries and agencies of both countries.

They also exchanged views on international agenda items, including topics related to the active cooperation already established between the two countries on various international platforms.

On regional matters, Minister Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s vision for building peace in the South Caucasus, along with the efforts undertaken toward that goal, particularly regarding the drafting and negotiation of a peace agreement. He emphasized that Armenia is ready to sign an agreement based on a mutually agreed text, which could serve as a solid foundation for lasting peace and stability in the region.
