Prime Minister Pashinyan Delivers Lecture at Georgetown University

WASHINGTON, DC — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he was welcomed by Professor Joel Hellman, Dean of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.

During his visit, Prime Minister Pashinyan delivered a lecture attended by students and faculty members specializing in political science, international relations, and security studies.

In his speech, the Prime Minister discussed the development and strengthening of democracy in Armenia, the progress of ongoing reforms, and the current regional situation, particularly the challenges surrounding Armenia and the measures being taken to address them. He emphasized the Armenian government’s commitment to reinforcing democratic institutions and fighting corruption, highlighting the importance of institutional capacity-building in this context.

Pashinyan also spoke about Armenia’s efforts to normalize relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, reiterating his government’s dedication to a peace agenda. He introduced the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, which aims to reopen regional communication routes.

During the event, the Prime Minister answered several questions from students and faculty, engaging in discussions on key regional and international issues.
