PASADENA — The Armenian Council of America – Political Action Committee (ACA-PAC) has announced its endorsements for the upcoming general elections on November 5, 2024.
In choosing candidates for endorsement, the ACA-PAC Board thoroughly evaluated each candidate’s readiness and commitment to critical issues, including the reaffirmation of the Armenian Genocide, support for the independent Republic of Armenia, and positions on matters affecting both Armenian Americans and the broader community.
ACA-PAC proudly endorses Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
In these challenging times, we believe that Harris’ leadership and unwavering dedication to justice, both domestically and internationally, will serve the best interests of Armenian Americans and advance causes vital to our community. She has underscored the importance of allowing Armenians displaced from Artsakh to return safely to their homes, which is essential for restoring dignity to the Armenian people and ensuring stability in the region. Furthermore, Harris has committed to supporting Armenia’s efforts to strengthen democracy and foster regional stability.
As Armenia’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity face significant challenges, it is crucial for Armenian Americans to vote for candidates whose policies will benefit Armenia and its people. The ACA-PAC endorsed candidates have consistently advocated for the Armenian American community.
In Southern California, which has a large Armenian American population, ACA-PAC encourages its supporters to vote for Adam Schiff for Senate, Laura Friedman for 30th Congressional District, and John Harabedian and Nick Schultz for State Assembly in Districts 41 and 44, respectively.
As the November 2024 elections approach, it is essential for Armenian Americans to actively engage in the democratic process, ensuring their voices are heard through the ballot box and their interests represented.
