WASHINGTON, DC — The United States is ready to work with Armenia and Azerbaijan in any format that the parties will agree to and where the latter can make progress, the US State Department told the Armenian service of Voice of America, commenting on the future of the OSCE Minsk Group format and the position of the American side on it.
“The United States government supports the efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan to reach a lasting and dignified peace agreement. We are ready to work with both sides in any format that the parties can agree on and where they can make progress,” the US State Department said.
On different occasions Baku has demanded the dissolution of the Minsk Group. Official Yerevan announced earlier this week that the Armenian side can consider the issue of continuation of the Minsk process first of all in the context of signing the peace treaty.
