Another Mercenary Captured in Karabakh, Number of Killed Jihadists Rises to Over 230

STEPANAKERT — Another Syrian mercenary was captured by the Artsakh Defense Army units during the hostilities.

According to the preliminary interrogation, Yusuf Alaabet al-Haji, born in 1988, is a resident of the village of Ziyadiya in Idlib, Syria. The man is married and has five children.

The mercenary said he was promised a monthly salary of $ 2,000 for fighting “infidels” in Artsakh, and an additional $100 “reward” for each beheaded “infidel.”

Meanwhile, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reports that Turkish-backed Syrian fighters are still suffering human losses in the battles of Nagorno-Karabakh alongside Azerbaijani forces in their war with Armenia, as 14 Syrian mercenaries of the factions were killed in the last hours.

On the other hand, Observatory sources said that a new batch of 20 bodies of fighter who have been killed in Nagorno-Karabakh battles, arrived in Syria, specifically to the areas held by Turks and factions north of Aleppo.

Accordingly the total death toll among the Turkish-backed factions since the Turkish government sent them to the frontlines, in late September, has risen to at least 231 dead, including 183 fighters whose bodies were brought to Syria while the rest of bodies remained in Azerbaijan.
