UCLA Promise Armenian Institute to Hold Virtual Conference on Artsakh, Oct. 31

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA Promise Armenian Institute (PAI) will conduct a one-day international conference on Saturday, Oct. 31 titled, “Nagorno Karabakh/Artsakh and the Palimpsests of Conflict, Violence and Memory,” from 10 am to 5:30 pm (PST) via Zoom and Youtube.

Interested participants can register for the conference to receive a unique link to access the event by visiting bit.ly/PAIOct31. The full program of the event, including a list of panelists and the abstracts of their talks can be found on the conference webpage.

The Question and Answer portion of the conference will be conducted through the Q&A feature of the Zoom platform. For those who will be watching the conference via live stream on PAI’s YouTube page, questions may be directed during the conference via email to armenian-info@international.ucla.eduusing the subject line “Question for UCLA Oct. 31 Conference.”

The conference is organized in collaboration with the UCLA Richard Hovannisian Endowed Chair in Modern Armenian History, the UCLA Promise Institute for Human Rights, the UCLA Luskin Center for History and Policy, the UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies, the Society for Armenian Studies, and the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR).

A recording of the event will be available for viewing on the PAI conference website during the week following the event.
