Head Coach of Armenian National Football Team Resigns

YEREVAN — The head coach of the Armenian National footbal team, Varuzhan Sukiasian, has submitted resignation, the website of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) reports.

Following Armenia’s 5-0 loss against Romania in the 2018 World Cup qualifier last week, Sukiasian announced that he would resign if the FFA demanded that from him. Three days after Romania match, Armenia lost to Poland 1-2 in Warsaw.

Varuzhan Sukiasian headed the Armenian squad on 10 December 2015. He coached the squad also in the period from 2000 to 2001.
