Iran Increases Volumes of Natural Gas Supplies to Armenia

YEREVAN (Arka) — On July 20, Iran started conveying additional volumes of natural gas to Armenia at the Armenian government’s request prompted by the repair of the core pipeline in Georgia, Hraparak reports.

According to the newspaper Levon Yolyan, energy minister, to travel to Iran to discuss some issues.

Earlier, Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom, said that the supply of Russia’s natural gas to Armenia was ceased from July 10 to August 10 because of the repair, and Iran agreed to do it.

Today Armenia receives around 1 million cubic meters of gas every day or 365-370 million cubic meters a year, which processed into electric energy for Iran.
