Armenia National Basketball Team Crashes Wales and Qualifies for Semifinals

CIORESCU, MOLDOVA — The Armenia national basketball team crashed 92:40 the Wales national team in the last match of the group stage of the European Championship for Small countries and qualified for the semifinals.

In the first quarter Armenia was ahead 29:9, the second quarter ended with a score of 46:20, in the third quarter the score was 67:26 in favor of Armenia’s team. Finally, the Armenia national team won with an advantage of 52 points – 92:40.

The most effective player of the match was Mike Danielyan with 20 points.

In the first game of Group B matches Armenia beat Moldova 83:64. Andre Spight Mkrtchyan stood out as best player scoring 24 points.

In the second game Armenia conceded to defending champions Andorra, with a score of 63:70, again was the highscorer with 24 points.

On Saturday Armenia will face Group A winner Ireland in the semi-finals.
