LOS ANGELES—The leaders of the three national traditional political parties—the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Ramakavar Azatakan Party—in the Western US issued an announcement on Sunday, condemning Azerbaijan’s egregious attacks on the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

By unilaterally ignoring the cease-fire, which bears its own signature, the upper echelons of the Azerbaijan’s contentious leadership has directed its savages on the peaceful civilian population of Artsakh, who are barbarically opening fire on innocent children.
Taking place in front of the international community and encouraged by that community’s indifference, Azerbaijan’s attacks were repelled by the heroic Armenian soldiers, whose ranks have seen irreplaceable fatalities and injuries.
By strongly condemning Azerbaijan’s incursions, we, the leadership of the three national parties working in the Western Region, in the name of our ranks and supports announce:
Our complete solidarity with Artsakh and the state structures in the Republic of Armenia that guarantee their security, as well as the Armenian Armed Forces and the Armenian people;
Our steadfast commitment to urge the highest levels of the United States government to take constructive steps to curtail the Azerbaijani forces;
For the sake of stability in the region, we will work to highlight the importance of recognizing the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by US foreign policy bodies;
Our willingness to garner the United States’ support to defend the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh in accordance with United National provisions;
Our commitment to thwart these threats as a unified national force, by inviting all organizations, denominations, institutions and every member of our community.
We mourn the loss of lives of our heroic soldiers of the Armenian Armed Forces. They are our children, whose selfless martyrdom should inspire us and provide us a heightened impetus to sacrifice for the defense of our homeland.
In its millennia-long history, the Armenian people have confronted countless threats to its existence and we have endured and emerged victorious. It is on all our shoulders to brave this challenge.
