57 Casualties Reported in Armed Forces of Armenia and Karabakh in 2015

YEREVAN (Mediamax) — 57 deaths of military servicemen in Armenian Armed Forces and NKR Defense Army has been registered in 2015, according to the data published by Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

“Taking into account various figures regularly voiced in the media field and their sometimes illegal misuse, we decided to presented the deaths in the Armed Forces in 2015 as classified by their causes”, wrote Artsrun Hovhannisyan.

“The main reasons for the servicemen’s deaths are the killings on the contact line (snipers’ firing, subversive and other actions) – 38 deaths, car accidents- 2, diseases – 2, murders- 1, suicide and cases of forcing suicides – 6, accidents – 4, deaths caused by violation of military service rules and blast of a mortar – 1”, the spokesman reported.
