Prime Minister of NKR Visits Armenian Community in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV — Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Arayik Harutyunyan visited the Armenian-American community of Las Vegas on November 21st and was welcomed by Honorary Consul of Armenia in Las Vegas Adroushan Andy Armenian, NKR Permanent Representative in Washington DC, Robert Avetisyan, and Consul Levon Minasyan from the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles.

Community leaders all gathered at the newly dedicated Armenian Genocide Memorial Monument at Sunset Park, where the Prime Minister and Community leaders placed flowers and wreaths at the Armenian Genocide Memorial.

Among the attendees were Social Democrat Hunchakian Party Western USA Executive Board members Mr. Garry Sinanian and Mrs. Garine Depoyan, accompanied by S.D. Hunchakian Party of Las Vegas “Haig Pejishgian” Chapter’s Chairman, Mr. George Hagopyan, along with members of the S.D.H.P representing various chapters. The Ceremony was followed by a reception at the Honorary Consulate of Armenia in Las Vegas,where Assemblymembers Victoria Seaman and Stephen Silberkraus were present.

The day long ceremonies concluded at the Armenian Apostolic Church of Las Vegas’ annual banquet.
