STEPANAKERT — Azerbaijan’s army suffered 20 losses and had about 60-80 wounded servicemen in the past days’ frontline skirmishes, Artak Beglarian, a spokesperson for Nagorno-Karabakh’s (Artsakh) prime minister, said on Facebook, citing the minister of defense.
According to his post, Levon Mnatsakanian reported the losses at a National Assembly hearing, saying that the Defense Army is now in full control of the situation, reacting to the adversary to silence possible aggression.
“As a result, Azerbaijan has 11-12 victims whose names have been verified by the Defense Army; there are almost so many whose identity is now being established,
“Additionally, an estimated 60-80 wounded [servicemen] are in their hospitals as of now,” Mnatsakanyan said, adding that he is personally aware also of material damages suffered in the military operations that saw several military posts and units destroyed.
“Baku hasn’t apparently digested the assaults against the residents of [Armenia’s] Tavush [region] and the soldiers of the Artsakh Republic,” reads Beglarian’s post.
