TBILISI — Armenian weightlifter Tigran Martirosyan (77 kg weight category) won the gold medal in European Weightlifting Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia on Tuesday with a combined lift of 351 kg. Armenia’s second representative in the same weight category Andranik Karapetyan won the bronze medal.
Martirosyan lifted 160 kg in snatch to win small silver medal while Andranik Karapetyan lifted 165 kg to win small gold medal.
In clean and jerk, Martirosyan won small gold medal with a lift of 191 kg. Karapetyan lifted 186 kg to win small bronze medal.
