Love Armenia Concert to Benefit Armenian Youth

Pasadena Armenian Organization Nor Serount Cultural Association will be holding a fund-raising concert entitled “Love Armenia” Sunday, October 14, at the Noor-Sofia Ballroom in Paseo Colorado to benefit local Armenian youth groups dedicated to honoring Armenian heritage & culture.

“Children are its biggest assets and future of the world,” said the organization through a media release. “There is no greater return on an investment than investing in its children.”

The event features a night of top-notch musical performances from international concert artists Carl Matthes, Razmik Mansurian, Yin Yin Huang, Min Jung Park, and Ling Yan.

LA native Carl Matthes has performed countless times as piano soloist all over the country as well as in England, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, where he had been met with much critical acclaim.

Yerevan born and raised singer and recording artist Razmik Mansurian will also be performing to provide his vocal stylings. Mansurian’s specialty is Armenian music, opera, folk music, world music.

Also sharing the stage at the event is concert pianist Yin Yin Huang, who has performed in China, Taiwan, Italy, Vienna, Guatemala , Costa Rica and USA, among orchestras such as LaMirada Symphony Orchestra, Formosa Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra.

Korean violin virtuoso Min Jung Park, is also slated to perform, as well as international concert cellist Ling Yan, bringing their smooth, stringed expertise to add to the evening’s musical fare.

“Love Armenia” will take place Sunday, October 14, at the Noor-Sofia Ballroom on 260 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. Event social hour starts at 4:00 p.m., lasting until 5:00 p.m., at which time the concert will begin and continue until 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $30, and all tickets and contributions are tax-deductible. Parking is free for 90 minutes with validation.
